Celsius, a new solid fuel water-heating boiler, is the first TMF’s pit-type boiler of prolonged burning.

It differs from all the previous TMF’s water-heating boilers in the most part of its design features and operation principle.Pit-type boilers or pit boilers of lower prolonged burning are the boilers operating using solid fuel, which burns only in the lower part of a furnace.

They were named after their design, which represents a high-volume and deep vertical chamber in its basis, i.e. a pit for wood or charcoal loading. In the lower part of the pit only the lower layer of a tightly packed fuel burns. Combustion of the whole volume of the fuel is impossible. Burning layer by layer the fuel moves down. This is a long-lasting process, which provides long, continuous and even supply of heat to a room.

Design of the pit does not prevent upper layers of fuel from moving down as its lower layers burn.

Duration of the boiler burning using one full fuel load may reach 12 hours.

Thanks to the prolonged stable burning, frequency of a new fuel load is reduced to minimum. It is the main advantage of the boiler. The customer is not distracted from his/her businesses or rest by adding fuel to the boiler very often.

Celsius boilers are designed for water heating of single-family houses and utility buildings equipped with water heating systems with forced circulation of a heat-transfer agent under operating pressure of 0.3 mPa (3 kg/cm²) maximum.

The boiler is able to heat multi-storey buildings with premises of irregular shape.

Celsius has an integrated flue heat-exchanger with vertical pipes. The vertical pipes of the heat-exchanger provide efficient intake of the stack gases’ temperature, which increase water heating before supplying it to the heating main. The boiler’s body covered with a heat insulation material in order to increase its energy performance. Boiler’s coefficient of efficiency is 95%.

Prior to release, each TMF’s boiler is put through the hydraulic-pressure test to estimate its air-tightness and durability of the welded joints providing high quality and reliability of all the goods.

There are three doors in the boiler: for fuel load, heat exchanger cleaning and for boiler ignition. Each door has its own locking mechanism. Snap for the load door and a thumb nut on the heat-exchanger’s door providing its tight fixing.

Large easy-to-use door of the heat-exchanger makes it easy to clean. Remove the lid located behind the furnace in order to remove deposition remaining at the boiler’s bottom after cleaning of the heat-exchanger. Remove the ash drawer beforehand.

Ignition door is covered with refractory plates in order to protect it from overheating caused by direct fire impact. It also provides protection from burns if you accidentally touch the door.

Primary and secondary air is supplied through the damper in the fire door ensuring the boiler’s operation.

All the doors have sealing on the edges. It should be particularly mentioned that the 18 mm sealing thread of the two upper doors ensures their tight and safe adjoining to the boiler’s body. Colour coding of the thread and the areas of its adjoining with the body is the additional warranty of a safe and precise fixing of all the doors. The doors are set precisely according to the colour coding when closed.

There is a handle of regular-acting gate valve for stack gases inside the boiler in the right upper corner of the body. It is turned by the fast ignition and heating of the furnace and flue pipe until there is draught for further operation of Celsius. There are holes with damper for tertiary air supply in the middle of the side walls. It is designed to control the flame’s colour. The values of the flame’s colour are provided in the Operating Manual.

There is the heat-resistant plate in the area of tertiary air supply for additional protection of the boiler’s body from high heat and its deformation. It has positive effect for the service life of the boiler.

Celsius is equipped with the cleaning mechanism (poker) in order to clean the furnace grate from combustion products. Unlike its competitors, the poker of the new boiler cleans all the openings between bars of the furnace bar evenly. During operation of the equipment using coal it is necessary to shake the furnace bar up by pokers’ handle in order to avoid clogging and insufficient air supply. Therefore ash and slag falls through the furnace bar directly into the ash drawer.

There is the folding-back gate with holes in order to eliminate falling of the burning fuel when opening the furnace’s door. In order to light the boiler open the door or light the boiler through it. It also provides access to the furnace bar for its thorough cleaning by the slag cutter, for example.

An easy-to-use poker with double side axial bearing is supplied together with the boiler. It is designed for cleaning pipes of the heat-exchanger using its half-round side and cleaning the flat boiler’s walls using the second curved side.

The boiler is equipped with thermometer, which measures temperature of the heat-transfer agent, for safe and easy operation. The boiler’s case colour is yellow.

Product line consists of one model at the moment: 25 kW capacity for heating of premises with maximum area of 225 m², where a wall is 2.7 m high.
The Celsius series is to be extended by the models of lower capacity of 12, 16, and 20 kW in the nearest future. Their release will be announced in additional information letter. The model is available in Light, Automatic, and Electro modifications. All the modifications of the Celsius 25 boiler use the same fuel and have the same design and specifications. The boilers differ by the delivery package.

Celsius 25 Light is the most affordable model suitable for installation of the automated draught controller to control the temperature of heat-transfer agent and the heating coils that should be purchased separately. The Automatic and Electro modifications have the automated draught controller with temperature control for the heat-transfer agent supplied together with the boiler. Electro is the fullest modification of the boiler delivered with the automated draught controller to control the temperature of heat-transfer agent and the heating coils set of 6 kW capacity.

If you would like to install the heating coils by yourself, we recommend you to use the TMF’s certified equipment. Installation of suitable heating coils manufactured by third-party is also technically possible to heat the heat-transfer agent in the heating systems.

The total capacity of the heating coils should not exceed the values recommended by the manufacturer in order to maintain normal operation of the boiler.
